Heart Sounds Detector
Hlaváčová, Kristýna ; Králík, Martin (referee) ; Kozumplík, Jiří (advisor)
In this thesis deals with detection of heart sounds in signal. In first half of thesis is discussed anatomy, physiology of cardiovascular system and issue of heart sounds. Afterwards, devices for evalution phonocardigram signals and their analysis are described. Thereafter the work focuseson the algorithm for detection of the first and second heart sound, which was implemented in the MATLAB R2014a environment. In conclusion, there is a summary of the proposed method and statistic evaluation.
Blood pressure estimation using smartphone
Vařečka, Martin ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Němcová, Andrea (advisor)
Blood pressure is one of the basic indicators of the health state of the cardiovascular system. High blood pressure is the main risk factor of ischemic heart disease, atherosclerosis and stroke. Therefore, it is important to monitor long-term changes in blood pressure and respond in time to these changes. Blood pressure meters are not standard household equipment, while a well-equipped smartphone is. Smartphones contain a large number of sensors capable of measuring biomedical signals. This thesis focuses on creating an application capable of determining blood pressure using data obtained from these sensors.
Heart sounds Detection in phonocardiogram
Pecníková, Michaela ; Čmiel, Vratislav (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
An algorithm is proposed for the detection of first and second heart sound in this Bachelor’s thesis. The first part describes the anatomy of heart, the activity of heart and creation of PCG signal. Next, typical characteristics of PCG signal are described in the thesis. Algorithm for the detection of first and second heart sound is based on the normalized average Shannon energy of PCG signal. The algorithm for the detection of first and second heart sound was implemented in MATLAB. The performance of the algorithm has been evaluated using 66 recordings of PCG signal with 1388 cycles.
Device for simultaneous acquisition of PCG and PPG signals
Matoušek, Denis ; Králík, Martin (referee) ; Mézl, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the design and implementation of equipment for phonocardiographic and photoplethysmographic measurements. The theoretical part discusses the description of the origin of heart sounds, the place and method of measurement in the framework of phonocardiography. The practical part describes several options for building individual devices with the help of a Raspberry Pi 4 or with the help of measuring technology and a non-soldering field. Subsequently, the best solutions for PPG and PCG data acquisition are selected. 10 volunteers were measured on the final device. The scanned data is processed in the Python environment. Individual measurement results are described, documented, compared, and evaluated against other measurements.
